Is Writing about Sexual Encounters on Your Blog Taboo?
I know we risk being called Slut of all Sluts, but I feel like blogs should be as expressive as we'd like them to be. I'm pretty free with my thoughts, my daily encounters, and basically my life. Should a blogger leave the sex out?

I really think it depends on the blogger's comfort level. I have never blogged about my sex life, but I don't mind if other bloggers do. I like to leave some things private for myself, but if another person is comfortable with sharing those details, then I think that's fine.

I think its okay to write whatever you want, especially if it is your personal blog. You may loose some readership due to it, but you may gain some as well.

If those are the topics you like expressing, it's your blog, write whatever you want. The cons of doing this, dont be suprised if someone knows you air out your dirty laundry and It might also work against you.
Might I suggest if your wanting family or friends to read it, make another blog that's leaves out those details.

I blog anonymously so I write about anything and everything I want.
Sex is a part of it, though I don’t normally give into all the details, I do write about a lot of the emotionally stuff that goes with such encounters. I’ve also wrote article type of entries exploring my own attitude to sex.
I guess, I think seeing as its my page I get to write what I want. I don’t judge anyone for what they write and I think the male/female double standards are out of date … sorry but that’s someone else’s standard and I don’t live by that.

I, personally, don't like reading about that stuff. I don't need or want to know who's sticking what where.
However, I would fight for the right for other people to write about it (and to party, of course). I know that I can skip over that stuff, not read it. I wouldn't try to legalize my opinion.
So, write all you want about your exploits (and have fun). I probably won't read regularly, but there are many who will.
Keep up the good fight.

You are welcome to be free with your thoughts, but unfortunately, for everyone, there are consequences. An ex-employer freely admitted that she googled people, and once came up with a prospective employee's blog who wrote about sex. The girl didn't get hired. Even if I wrote entries of that nature and still used a pseudonym, I'd still be concerned with the blog being linked back to me. Details or more obvious things, like photos, can be a give away.

I don't write personal items on my blog, for the most part anyway, but who is to say what anyone should or should not write. I imagine there is an audience for that kind of thing. I don't read blogs that focus on the personal, at least not routinely, because that is not where my interests are but write what you want. I don't think real relationships of any kind should be subject to blogs, but that is just my opinion.
It is also a ridiculous that some will read stories about a man's hook-up with glee, yet read a woman's account with horror. So far we have not come.

Oh I absolutely talk about it! If it is a part of my life I will write about it, I won't give all the sordid details (unless they're particularly funny or worth talking about) but i definitely discuss it. Part of blogging is being as open as you want and if that means talking about your sexual escapades then good for you!
