The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I've recently become a convert. Anyone else here addicted? I've been stumbling through random sites for about an hour now. Share your StumbleUpon url, and let's be Stumble friends. Yup, my dorkiness knows no bounds. I'm at http://thelisashow.stumbleupon.com. Share your site traffic stories.

(I got 300 hits daily from StumbleUpon when two readers stumbled my blog on photography. That blog is five days old. I don't even have a banner up yet. You can see my fascination with it. Hehe.)

Hmm...I'll have to post up my photography blog (i'm currently replacing my photo app, as my other one was too buggy). It should be back up by the end of next week.

Randomly, I just signed up today. How do you get that traffic so fast? I would love to start taking advantage of sites like StumbleUpon or Digg. Either way, you have a great lil site!

here's my page though, ill try and add everyone as well!!

Great thread idea :)

Thanks for the link on advanced SU tactics, Erica!

For those curious, SU is actually supposed to yield a higher conversion and consistent traffic than Digg. So it's definitely a good investment of time.

Anyone is free to add me to SU. I haven't been using it excessively but will be sure to begin to look at it more now, especially with others on it and all.

One piece from Beyond Megapixels made the buzz page on SU. It's where the most stumbled pages are listed. We got almost 20,000 hits from SU for that article alone. Possibly more. The down side is you get this one spiteful asshole who'll give you a bad review just to draw attention to himself, never mind that he's being a complete moron. It's much, MUCH worse in Digg (they're cruel, that bunch) but we've yet to get decent traffic from Digg so no bad reviews for us there.

The trick is finding the people who are interested in pretty much the same things you are and befriending them. It's hard getting a photographer interested in stocks and bonds, much less review it. But I do stumble my friends' stumbles whenever I can.
I joined it. Then it spammed everyone in my address book (including people I don't want reading my blog, such as two ex-boyfriends and my grandmother). And I still haven't figured out how to use the darn thing.
omg that's terrible!! I still haven't REALLY figured it out either...although one night when i was bored i just started clicking on 'stumble' and found a few interesting websites. that's about the extent of my exploration thus far tho. haha
How is this possible? I've never heard of anything like this happening before.
I'm not sure how it happened... I'm giving StumbleUpon a second chance at your recommendation. I put stuff on my profile, and now I'm getting random messages from men in Istanbul... I'm not sure that it's actually improving my blog traffic yet, but it's an interesting distraction.
Okay, so I started using it, and all these men from foreign countries (mostly Turkey) keep hitting on me. And also a creepy 76-year-old American man who called me "sexy and vibrant". Dear God. Anyone else experiencing this?
Dude, that's just wrong. Obviously, this has never happened to me. Then again, I'm a married cartoon. I also don't know of anybody else who's had to deal with this kind of crap on SU. I'd suggest changing your avatar and/or closing the account and starting a new one.
I am more of a Digg fan. I do use it a bit but find Digg betetr
I LOVE Stumble! I'm http://snicholson26.stumbleupon.com...
that's how I found this site, actually.
As far as creepy men, I totally empathize... pretty annoying. I usually ignore it and it goes away.. but I still get creeped out. "I want to kiss your neck?" "Who the **** are you!?"
