The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I'm looking to add some things to my very basic blog. I'm using Blogger and it has a pretty straight-forward design and spot for widgets, but I'm pretty unsure of safe/useful code I can use for:

Page Counter (many out there, though I'm guessing very few ones)
Feed (stay updated)
News Ticker (no idea)

Thoughts?

I use site meter, it's free or paid. The free allows you to see you last 100 hits.
There are other things you can add to the template crazy egg for free to get different stats for a set period of time.

I use feedburner.

I have a self hosted wordpress and one wordpress.com so I am not sure about the other stuff on blogger.
Try StatCounter. It's what I use. Very nifty.

By feed, do you mean yours or the blogs you read? If it's the former, you can try FeedBurner. You can keep track of your number of subscribers that way.
Who reads my blog....thanks!
I use eWebCounter.com. So stalkable!
Hey Time here is info on the add ons I use on my blog
Thanks!!

I tried sitemeter and statcounter....I like the latter better, though I've kept both.
I hope this doesnt make me look stupid or anything, im just starting to get into all this blogging stuff, what are Feed & RSS ? how do they work and all that stuff
The RSS feed allows people to read your blog on their Feedreader , if you use google you will notice the ability to subscribe to feeds, or they can choose to subscribe to you via their home page. I have blogs on both my reader and my home page - like news but blogs and I do this by signing up for the blogs feed.
You feed depends on your blog and platform and then you have the option of converting it to a feedburner feed - which I suggest.
http://feedburner.com
www.google.com/analytics

It's what encourages me to blog. When I can see all the hits I'm getting and from where, I'm inspired to write for those people. :-)
Anyone use Google's AdSense? I was trying to weigh the Pro's and Con's of usingi t. Also, if I use it, should I manage it through Feedburner or Blogger?
Tim, from experience, if you're keen on using widgets, stay with blogger as WordPress.com (the free version) has very few opportunities available to insert funky code.

...just a tip!
Good point by Miss A. Wordpress is pretty locked down unless you're hosting it on your own server.

As for widgets, anything community oriented is pretty solid. MyBlogLog and Twitter tend to be favorites.
