Pluggers is an every day word for rubber thongs - the foot wear type not the lady panties.

Cobber is another word for mister, genlteman, bloke, etc

The biggest misconception is the "Shrip on a Barbie", Aussies don't use the word shrimp, thats actually american. Rather we have Prawns, which are a larger version of a shrimp. Barbie = Barbeque. It's just the most used sentance to stereotype Aussies for some strange reason.

You will find this sort of slang in my blog, but know i know i have some oversea's readers i try to make sure there is some explainations.

Hey. I'm Matt, 25, I'm a writer and comedian living in New York City - Brooklyn, to be exact. I do improv and sketch comedy, I photograph New York, I write about this crazy life I live, I hate my Blackberry, I'm trying to achieve nirvana, I can't stop listening to "In A Big Country" by Big Country, I've been more or less digging the last few story arcs in Spider-Man comics... oh, and I clean up nicely for social occasions.
