The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I'm always impressed by bloggers with large readership, which usually results from a large blogroll and lots of visiting to other blogs. But how do you keep up with all of the blogs on your blogroll? What have you found to be the best ways to manage reading and posting and living your life? I use RSS in MyYahoo, but I sometimes just find it overwhelming.

Thank you!! You managed to make me ditch whatever I was doing and actually have a proper look at the Google Reader. My gchat status update is now the following: Google Reader is the MOST bestest thing since f*cking sliced cheezeee!!!
I used RSS feed but then iot overwhelmed me too, It was also confusing. So the way I do it is, I only add blog I really really like to my blogroll on my blog those I just click on everday right aftyer posting and read them. Then I have a list of bookmarked blogs I really love but that I haven't added to the blogrool yet( just cause I don't want my blogrool to b too long, if I included everything I read it would be ridiculous) But I read the bookmarks too, and I almost always comment.

Apparantly I should try Google reader , sounds easy!
Thanks, I just added google reader. And I found this one one of my less frequently visited favorite blogs.

I struggle with this cause reading blogs always leads to other great blogs! I use Netvibes to keep track of all my blogs. I usually try to keep up throughout the day - read a couple while I'm eating lunch at my desk, on the bus ride to and from work, etc. I follow about 40 blogs right now, and sometimes it's overwhelming, but then sometimes there's nothing to read so I'm like, I NEED NEW BLOGS.
I have to admit though, it's starting to take up more time than I have for it, so I think my blogroll might be close to full capacity.

ALSO - something I've thought about - I think it's better when blogs DON'T update every day. Sometimes I get frustrated when I come in to work, and a couple bloggers have written three blog posts in the last 24 hours. I'm like, "What? People do read other blogs than yours, yah know..."
I use Google Reader (I agree with the others...it's amazing). Also, everything's sorted into categories, that helps me look at my favorites first. Those that I want to follow but aren't up there in my favorites? They get checked about every 2 weeks. I choose not to stress about it, no matter how larger the number of posts in my reader gets.
I have Google Reader, but usually just use the reader in my Blogger dashboard. And I make sure I read all the blogs I subscribe to, and comment as much as possible.
I really struggle with this! I follow a minuscule amount, compared to some (prolific) bloggers and still find it hard to keep up. I've reached a sort of optimum number and am reluctant to add anymore for fear of overwhelming myself.

But there are soooo many amazing blogs out there and I've discovered so many great ones since being stuck home sick, lol. What's a girl to do?
My blogroll is the list of blogs that consists of blogs I read and comment and those who I've became friends with. I also use Google Reader and check the account daily. Sometimes the blogroll can be large for the average person to read but I'm noticing everyone is keeping up with other blogs in a variety of ways. Often time there are so many good blogs to sit down and read and keep up with life!
I definitely love google reader. I can even put it on my phone so I can even get updated on the go, I can comment on the go, etc. It doesn't feel hard anymore.
I have blogs on my blogroll as a sample of what I read, some of the roll has been there forever and will stay some I switch up.
I read most everything form my google homepage or google reader. I have things in folders, for instance Development, Politics, The Atlantic and the Nation have their own folders for certain columnists a Inde news has a folder, education has one and so on so forth. I don't read every folder every day. I have a folder for blogs and a seperate one marked daily blogs, as well. Same with my google home pages, I have them categorized, I have one for 20 somethings, the blogs I read from here go there, one for Darfur, one for research, anthropology, design, science and so on and so forth. I don't check all pages every day but it does help me keep on top of things. When I find a few I haven't really read or that don't update i just delete them.
I'm pretty good with keeping up with those I'm following on blogspot the rest is a crapshoot of browsing my google reader.
I try to update my blogroll as much as possible but I've been bad about updating it lately. I usually add ones that I read on a regular basis and whose content I enjoy the most. Someone was very persistent though about being added to mine and when I kept forgetting she wouldn't forget so I had to add her. Persistence.

And Google Reader is the best thing ever.
