MyBlogLog and Gravatars

I have used Gravatar for a long time now but really got hooked on MyBlogLog the past month or two. I was just wondering if anyone else is intergrating them all into their own blogs? And do you think they are just another un-needed tool or craze or do you think they have a place in Blogging?

I love some of the cool tools mybloglog has and I am thinking of signing up to the pro version but would liek to know if anyone here has it and if it is worth it... As i do have a version like it in cpanel with my hosting.

Also, maybe we could start a network for mybloglog here? Just a idea.

I think it just makes everything more easy to follow and customs every blog if they all used it. Its like signing up to 10000s of blogs at once.

I have now got it so it checks the email and www and if any have a gravatar or mybloglog it posts the image next to the comment.

Its so easy, wish more people used it :P

They are very different, i guess mbl is the evolution of Gravatar.

Does Gravatar really slow a site down that much?

I've yet to install gravater to my current wordpress, though I keep thinking of doing so. I use mybloglog and like it,but the gravatar used there at MBL is specific to my blog log I think.

i have mybloglog and i like it a lot. i've occasionally found cool blogs by checking out new readers who've stopped by my place. never used gravatar - never seen it as an improvement to my blogging.

Anyone using this new openID thing? I don't fully understand what benefits it gives yet but I think its like the open source version my a mybloglog or something.

I see a few sites like Wordpress.com and more are opening up to it everyday.
