The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I considered posing this question on my blog but hey, it seems more appropriate here.

I read about 40-50 blogs on a regular basis and 95% of them are women. I love them! I love that they know what I'm talking about and that they often give me tips on fashion and hair removal. BUT - I want to read great blogs by men. I already read several (d-blogged, I'm looking at you darling) but the number is nominal compared to the amount of women blogging.

What is this phenomenon? Am I just oblivious to men's blogs? Am I looking in the wrong place? Am I alone in my desire to read more blogs written by men?

Tell me what you think or give me your three favorite blogs written by men!

I've been thinking the exact same thing lately. While flicking through the member list on this site, I've found an overwhelming number of women. This is in stark contrast to the blogs I used to read... when blogging was still young and dominated by the tech geeks because they were the only ones who had the inside knowledge on how to get blogging software to work at all.

I don't know if there's anything particularly masculine about my blog. I feel like a lot of what a write and a lot of what I read applies equally to both sexes. (Ok except maybe the blog posts about shoes. That's a girl thing.)

He's funny and enlightening. It works. :)
Okay yeah or most male blogs are like, tech blogs. Or finance blogs. Let's break some stereotypes here, people!

This was a great thread idea- I've found some great male blogs!
i do have a tech side to myself but i don't blog about that solely - i think it's a predisposition for guys because 1. most males are comfortable being nerds and 2. those that are comfortable with nerd-dom are already on the internet. seems like a logical progression, possibly.

but finance? really? as a blogworthy topic? i'm going to technorati this just to see how popular it is...

perhaps there's a stigma that blogging for guys is just a little too emo? (i hate that word, btw.)
Here are some I read (some more often than others), and I second (third?) the votes for defectiveyeti and SO@24.

I read very few twenty- something blogs, or pop culture blogs, or fashion blogs or blogs which post video etc etc except one belonging to a friend so I won't be much help. Here are some man blogs I read routinely.

Well 97% of the blogs I read are written by men... but, that's because I mainly read engineering/software blogs, and that is who our field is populated with.

Most of them post about their work most of the time, and their hobbies, etc the rest of the time.
