Ahh, I HOPE there is a way to pull them off without turning myself into a midget. I'm 5"2 and as much as I LOVE high heels it's just not practical when teaching dodgeball. I'm thinking wearing pants that are a bit longer makes a difference. And you know, walking around on my tippy-toes all day. ;)
I don't think short girls should wear heels just to compensate for their height. If you like heels, wear 'em. If you don't, screw 'em. You rock out those flats, girl!
thanks girlie. I was thinking of changing my collection of shoes 'cause of my height, but I love my my flats, and when I shop for shoes, I always have my eyes on them. I own a few heels (which girl in her 20s doesn't) and I rarely wear them. Not 'cause I don't like them, but I just walk funny when I wear 'em.
btw....my best friend is 6'1" and she loves heels. how ironic isn't it?

I wear ballet pumps with trousers and jeansand i think they look good that way but i doubt i'd wear them with a skirt - i need heels to make my legs look skinnier!
I'm 5ft 2 and I am also living in flats at the moment!
I don't remember the last time I bought a pair of heels. Flats, however, catch my eye almost every shoe shop I go into, but I've restricted myself to 3 pairs of flats in three colours. That's it. A girl could not possibly need any more. Want anymore? Now that's another issue altogether.
The only times I feel like they're making me look shorter is if I wear skinny-legged jeans with them. I'm giving up on the skinny-legs anyway because I always end up with a pancake-arse too. So the good news is, flats can stay!
I'm 5'4 and wear flats on a daily basis - the only time I break out the heels are when I go clubbing, partly to make my legs look longer and partly cause I just feel really short packed in with taller ppl or girls in heels at the clubs! I don't think it matters whether you're tall or short - wear whatever you're most comfortable in!! :)
Please tell me it's ok. I'm 5'1" as well and I just can't wear heels all day. Too much walking, not enough sitting in my routine for heels. I'll never be one of those girls that can wear 3" heels all day and out to happy hour without complaining!
I'm technically average (5'4"), but short in terms of fashion. I also have kind of short legs, so I think proportion has to do with it as well. Flats make my lower half look even worse, but whatever, high heels hurt and as much as I wish I could, I can't wear them all the time.
