The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Ok, so I once accidentally sent my bf an email from the other gmail acct i set up to associate my blog with, and then 2 days after a keyword search showed up on my google analytics: "twenysomething clueless blogspot" (my blog's name is twentysomething and clueless). Since then I've been getting 1-2 visits daily, sometimes skipping a day or two from that keyword search (which is also weird, cause if it was the same person, wouldn't they just bookmark the blog so they wouldn't have to search it every time??)

Look: (click on image to see larger if you need to)

AND note the avg time spent AND the avg no. of pages compared to site-wide averages:

Whoever this is is spending more time on my blog and viewing more pages than the average person, and that's partly what raises my suspicions (AND creeps me out!)

The thing is, he hasn't mentioned a word of it to me, and I don't know what to do. I don't even know if it's him for sure, but it's definitely creeping me out!

I don't completely mind if he knows that i blog, since I only ever write good things about him anyway, and all the other stuff i tell him, but it's weird that he hasn't said anything if it is him.

what do i do?? is there some clever way to catch him out, or even just try and figure out who it is if it isn't him? have any of you been in this situation? What did you do? HELP! lol

Hm, was thinking about doing a shoutout...

and cooper, how do block an IP address from seeing your blog??
I do it through my wordpress cpanel. Mine is self hosted though, so there are many options.

I found this somewhere though

and there is a way to put something in blogger code to block them as well if you google it. There may be other ways people here might know of
my boyfriend knows i blog but hardly ever even bothers reading it. perhaps you're worrying too much
I have sitemeter and it's pretty cool, will be checking out analytics too, thanks.

I guess I don't get why this is an issue--I can understand having a blog being your own personal space thing, but if there's stuff in there he can't handle or you don't want him knowing, doesn't that make you wonder a little about your relationship? Or am I over the line here? My boyfriend blogs and has my blog linked to his, top of the list "The girlfriend's page" and I have the same on mine (only it's "the boyfriend) and we are each other's biggest supporters. Is it the comments from other readers you're worried about him reading? I had to learn to get over that--there was one girl who would always comment on his posts and it made me jealous and even led to some arguments, but all in all it made me grow up a little and realize that I was being silly. I don't know, just some thoughts. Hope it all works out.
Can you find out his IP address? That would be the only way I know how to catch him.
I don't think this is a huge deal either way. Could you just ask him? If he says it isn't him, there's no need to share it with him (you can just say it's private). If it is he'll probably be honest about it.
I'm over it - I don't think it's him anymore anyway (long story, but basically I was upset about our relationship lately and blogged about it, and yesterday was the first time i mentioned it to him and he was totally surprised - you can't fake that kind of surprise. haha), it's just some random person stalking me.

Guess I"ll just let the stalker keep stalking? :P
There is nothing worse than someone you know finding your blog but hopefully like you say it's just some random. I still don't know how people in my work came across mine but it creeped me out that they did, and were reading it and passing bits of it around. It is genuinely like an invasion of privacy, which is weird. But if you feel that strongly about it, change your url etc. That's what I plan to do.
I could see being uncomfortable with work people finding my blog--I made sure that my real name, hometown, or full names of anyone I work with or know do not appear anywhere in the blog so no one could just google me and find it. I usually don't write about stuff that I wouldn't be comfortable with people who know me reading. Remember that if someone comes across a post by way of google, it's always in google, even if you delete the post.
Oh crap, don't say that, it freaks me out!!! :( I suppose because I'm relatively new to blogging I never really thought of it that way before.
Sorry doll, it's true though. the only people I really don't want to read my blog are my parents, but I don't think they're technologically adept enough to really find it. Nothing, on the net, is private.
Frankly, it's terrifying! Even though I'm planning to go a bit more anonymous shortly, i think I'll still be watching how much info I actually give away.
