So I think I'm going to do my first Vlog. I\m not really sure where to start.
I've been an anonymous blogger since I moved to maniccupcake dot net, so this is sort of a big deal. What should I talk about other than being like,. "Surprise!!! I'm not an ogre!"
What do you talk about when you Vlog? I want to avoid babbling.
The best way to start vlogging is to turn on the camera & start talking. It's just like blogging, but in front of a camera. Until you're comfortable talking to the camera, then you can find yourself doing some pretty awesome stuff.
I have thought about doing a Vlog as well, assuming that is a video-blog (I'm new to this whole deal), but I am kind of frightened. I think for your first vlog is may be easiest do have a compatriot, that way it can be a fun event as opposed to an awkward convo with the camera. Once you get more comfortable with the process it may be easier to do solo vlogs.
Forced vlogs probably suck so I'd only do it if you have something that you really want to share or think others will take interest/humor in.
I've considered doing a Vlog a couple of years back, but I have doubts about whether I should give it a shot. Not sure what kind of topics to talk about. I've watched several Vlogs here and there, and I could only find very little good ones. Ones with substance.
Okay. Stupid question: I don't have a video camera. Is there some software I should already have or can download to use my webcam as a video camera? All I know how to use it for is voice chat, web streaming, and taking pictures, but I don't know how to record anything. Otherwise I'd have to sew together 30 second clips from my Canon Point-and-Shoot, and that would suck.
Some use digicams, some use webcams (most webcams I've seen have recording options, so yours probably has too). Digicam quality is pretty good IMO (depending on resolutions), webcams are alright too but not as good as the former. If your webcam's visual resolution is really high then it's usable.
Not all Vloggers record with video cameras. As long as your videos are not too grainy and the audio is good then they should be alright.
