The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I'm curious as to how everyone picked out their blog names. If your domain name is different from your blog name, how did you come up with both? Do you have your own domain?

I keep obtaining domain names and then letting them go because I just get tired of them. I am in the process of picking out a new one. hahaha It's actually not for a blog, but I figure a name is a name is a name. I always give them a lot of thought, so I just wanted to know how much thought (and what kind of thought) everyone else put into theirs.

i love dispatch. i used to hang out with them quite a bit back in college.

just realized i haven't listened to them in years...so there goes my thursday!
My Heart's Porch is from a Modest Mouse song, Florida, off of We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank. They're one of my favorite bands, and as I'm getting more and more comfortable with myself as a country entity, I thought it was fitting.
Honestly, when I decided I was going to start a blog, The name immediately came to me. I didn't doubt it or think about it. I said, "I'm starting a blog and it's titled 'Everyday Adventures of Me in the City."

I don't have my own domain yet but that's an eventual project. Sadly through Blogger, the exact URL i wanted wasn't available so I had to abbreviate it a bit but it's better than nothing :)
I use my real name, Nicole Antoinette, as my domain name. I picked More is Better for my blog title because they short statement sums up a hell of a lot about me.
Dude, I swear around children. hahaha
yeah. swear.
Mine (I'm busy pretending to not look for you) was what I first put in the Who I'd like to Meet section of my myspace. Then I thought it would be perfect for my blog, because I mostly write about single life, dating, heartbreak, and saying what you think regarding the topic, but no one ever really shares. Somehow it fit and really evolved when I wrote my About me page. I liked it, so it stuck.

And when I gain readership, I will buy a domian.
Domains are cheap. I got mine for like $10 a year through Blogger, and if you go through them, they have an option so that your information doesn't become accessible.
They have them even cheaper than that. I got mine through namecheap, and they used to be $8.88 a year, but thanks to ICANN mucking everything up, they had to raise the prices to $9.29. Even so, you can cloak your information so that evil people can't stalk you. Muhahaha!!
My blog name is different to that of my domain name. It's kind by accident actually because this was before such things were important to begin with and since I run a personal blog I didn't think for it to be the same.

My domain, kamigoroshi.net refers to the nick I refer to myself online. Kamigoroshi mens "God Killer" in Japanese and it comes from a manga. I've always associated myself with the namesake due to the lifestyle that I lead and the philosophies that I adhere to. So the name stuck and became my domain name on a whim.

My blog name "Footsteps in the Mirror" refers to the journey that I walk on in life. I've always believed that blogs reflect the thoughts and opinions of a person. Personal blogs at least are a personification of that reflection. Kinda like looking into a mirror. My blog is simply that. The trail of my journey reflected back in writing. It makes sense to me.
Well, my blog used to just be Untitled for a couple years until I settled on the name "My Quiet Testimony," because I felt like it reflected my blog really well. The domain name, ang-smiles, I kept from when it was Untitled, because it's too difficult to tell everyone you changed urls and blahblah
Ooooh I like the name you settled on. If this were a blog name contest, I'd totally give you an award. :o)
