I'm curious as to how everyone picked out their blog names. If your domain name is different from your blog name, how did you come up with both? Do you have your own domain?
I keep obtaining domain names and then letting them go because I just get tired of them. I am in the process of picking out a new one. hahaha It's actually not for a blog, but I figure a name is a name is a name. I always give them a lot of thought, so I just wanted to know how much thought (and what kind of thought) everyone else put into theirs.
My blog is named, 'HeyStephanie' and has the subheading, "Personal and Professional Thoughts on Social Media." I came up with 'HeyStephanie' when I realized that everyone on my team would call me that right before a meeting, before a phone call with a client - it was like a nickname. Then I made it my personal brand and a part of my online persona. It's stuck with me since and it's a great ice breaker because when people want to say hi, they just say, 'HeyStephanie.' :]
My title is a line from the Garth Brooks song Ireland
-And her heart it is in Ireland, Deep within the Emerald Isle
I have loved this song for a while, and after my study abroad experience in 2005 and moving back home to finish my degree that's how I felt. So when I chose to come back to Ireland for graduate school in 2007, it seemed like the perfect title for my (new) blog about life in Ireland.
