When I thought of this topic, I regretfully realized that I did not have a blogging role model. But I'm wondering for those who have, who that individual was, and how they influenced the style, tone, and subject matter of your blog...and maybe even your life.
I'm a big fan of Irish and Jew. Having two of them makes it easier to keep the tone fresh, and keeps the blog updating pretty frequently when other people might let blogging fall to the side in life's natural rhythms. Maybe a good topic to start separately, but do you think female bloggers have an easier time getting a wide following? there are a lot of popular women's blogs that have a lot of sexual narrative that wouldn't have quite as broad an audience if they were a guy's narrative; new stereotype! girls writing about having lots of sex with anonymous guys is hot, guys writing about it with anonymous girls is jerky?
I don't have a blogge role model but I do have great admiration for the blogs liseted under my favourites. I like thoughtful, insightful writing but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy the personal entry blogs.
I also have to say I agree with those who said they prefer those who reply to their comments.
I guess any blogger who is willing to air their views gets my vote.
A celebrity blog name Maia, her blog named 'duniamaia' which mean 'cyberworld.'
Maia in Indonesian's language = cyber
This celeb has gain a lot of simpathy from Indonesian ppl, because of her personal life chaos. Not something to be proud of...sigh...but I do enjoy her songs.
Her husband is cheating on her, and they're planning on getting divorce. Which is a very complicated procces, and turned out to be an endless battle between the two of 'em, and the other woman too..
She express all her feeling on how she has to experience her husband verbal abuse, how she struggle to meet her three little boys (which is trapped in the middle of the war area), and lot of things, with her unique style and refreshing way of story telling
i said this on another post, but i think it boils down to the fact that tony's always balanced himself between a very edgy, entertaining male persona and a very intimate, emotional honesty...something i think is tough for male writers to do.
Huh, I guess I've never thought about this, even though there are really a bunch of bloggers that inspire me. I originally started a blog in Xanga while I was in college, as a means of keeping in touch with high school friends and such, and branched out beyond the teenybopper-ness of it all, having read Dooce, Stephanie Klein, and a handful of food blogs. While I realize that my style isn't necessarily similar to any of them, I really appreciate their honest approach to writing.
Oh, and then there are the dozens of really great bloggers that I've discovered through 20SB. I want to be like them when I grow up!
When I first started blogging I really admired The Gancer's posts. He always had a funny and male (which is rare for this blogging world) point of view on relationships, friendships and life in general.
While I am still an avid read of his blog I have also become quite a fan of Pistols at Dawn. He posts everyday, some long, some short, but always entertaining.
the bloggers that i fell in love with when i first started blogging michelle in the city, these little moments, blogging barbie...those three really inspired me to reach for the bloggy stars :)
I don't think there is a blog out there that has really had an impact on my own blogging, but there are definitely blogs out there that I admire and wish I could write the way they do and share the kind of content they share. One of my livejournal friends doesn't post often, but when she does, it's always interesting and fun. She's quite the firecracker. Although all of her entries are friends-only, but still.
