The Bloggers With The Most To Say

At http://thekorystory.blogspot.com I very rarely keep to a focus, the blog turns into more a diary, focusing on what I think is interesting, funny or desiring to be said more then anything else...

But, what I am interested in knowing is two fold... the first is how important is blog focus, how crucial is it to grab a topic or motivation and stick to it... seems to me that homogeneous blog posts would lead to a bland blog... but maybe being too diverse in focus (or all over the place) maybe not be favorable? Thoughts? Agree? Disagree? Outraged?

The second and possibly more interesting for those who aren't concerned with focus is a post that I put up a little while ago on Internet Routine, which can be found here

I find how people use the internet, especially blogging peers, quite interesting, so take a second and let me know how you spend your internet-ing time... feel free to comment on thekorystory, in the comments here, or take the inspiration and make a new post on your blog and then link here...

thanks, kory

I think the difference is I've been blogging awhile. I started as a refugee from livejournal -where high school friends read entries etc. It was time to move on, and my original blogger blog was never intended to be for anyone but myself. Who knew? It was also a time where there weren't fifty new blogs a day telling you how to blog or how to make money. By the time all that started I already had a readership, and never really cared to expand it past that, as it was hard enough responding to emails and comments even if only a few at a time. So my interest in blogging is not, at least from what I can see, the same as those who started blogging recently.
Okay, since no one has done the whole, "Hi, my blog has a theme" thing, I guess I'll do it! My blog is entitled Rage in the A.M. and I have a general focus on my early morning commutes on the Seoul metro. However, I haven't limited my blog to only rants about the crazy underground habits that rule Korean behavior. I am enraged at least once a week, so I can keep the whole theme thing as a base, but I also write about things that happen to me here. I mean, being angry is funny and fun to read about, but it's intense and hard to channel constantly and could get boring. So I allow myself to write about other things that I experience as a foreigner. Every once in a while I pop in with some odd thing such as "Hey the boyfriend bought a car" or "Had dinner with a friend and it was great." But that seems uninteresting to me most of the time.

I don't know. What do you guys think? Is limiting myself to my experiences as an outsider in Seoul getting old? My experiences are still being filtered through ME, so it's kind of like running everything through my personality first and that is what ties the thing together. Oh, goodness. I don't know anymore!
Yay, a devils advocate, precisely my desires... thanks Danielle.

I appreciate your comments and think that you bring up some good points, and it is probably especially satisfying to serial readers of your blog to hear you continued tribulations.

Do you imagine that the entire idea of focus is related to how comfortable someone is with sharing their DIARY like thoughts?

I will try to give you an opinion on whether I like the focused reading after reading it some..

But what of your routine? or did you filter out that question?
