Google Reader - Shared Items - Let's Connect!!
i'll first throw a nod to NuttyCow, who sent an email to a bunch of us bloggers regarding our feed reading, and the ability to share items with friends through Google.
the response was pretty positive, and i thought i'd repost here.
if you're interested, you need to provide the username you use to sign into Google Reader, so people can Google Chat request you (it's the precursor for being able to share within Google Reader).
mine is "psynorm".
for those that have never G-Reader Shared: when you read a post thru the reader, there's a couple of options below each one, and one of them is "Share". if you hit this on a post, those of us who have connected to you via Google Chat will see those Shared items when we log into Google Reader.
the idea is that you Share the really great posts you see, and thus people find cool new blogs and writers.

I have had people sharing with me via my google reader, but I had no idea how/why it was happening. Very cool!
