I tend to get blogging ideas at times when I don't have the ability to record them in some way - in the shower, right before falling asleep. When and where do you get ideas for posts and how to you record them so you remember that you want to write about them?
I found a pretty cool new tool. Jott.com enables you to esentially call your (or others) email and send youself a message or even directly add something to your google calendar. I use it when I am driving with a headset or walking somwhere. Other than that I am a little notebook fan.
Usually Google docs hah. But they're also scribbled in any piece of paper I can find or my notebook. Lately I've been writing them on the top half of Post-Its at work and sticking it to the back of my phone...
I've used most of the methods already mentioned -- Post-Its, notes on my cell phone or iPod, etc. -- but Twitter, especially because you can text in your update, also works well. I've only done it once, but plan to more often because it's a Web site I'll likely check next time I'm at a computer, thinking about blogging.
i have a folder in my bookmarks where i save all of the articles / videos that i'd want to blog about at some point so when i reach an inspiration-less rainy day i have material.
I usually use a little notebook or scattered pieces of paper, but there's a website called listography.com that I think is really helpful. You make any lists you want(favorite songs, movies, quotes, anything) and share them with other people. I have one list called blogging ideas and will just jot them down as I go.
