I also agree that a badge wouldn't be too much to ask (that said, I should put one on my site once I finish this msg, LOLs!). I joined when there were still less than 100 members (b/c of Elysa's badge on her site), and in the beginning I wasn't very active at all...didn't know exactly what to do. But now I'm becoming more and more active...so I mean, if you're going to delete inactive accounts I think we'd have to be very careful on the requirements and justification for doing so.

yeah, good point. Maybe we should just let any legit blog join- but to be added to the group blog roll you have to request it? That way, somebody has to care enough and be on the ball enough to get added?
i agree with this. and the badge isn't too much to ask of bloggers...an added bonus would be a unique badge by a talented designer (devin...i've been checking out your site and some of the other projects you worked on...you're definitely extremely talented!).
all these things are good things...the "activity level" may be a bit too much...most sites have relatively dormant users...but as long as you have people put together a decent intro/profile and ASK to be included in the blogroll, you're probably well on your way to keeping this personal and active.
I second VG. I think they should have to be active in the community. I have to say I joined b.c of Elysa and now I love everything about it! I just joined NaBloPoMo just because I love this site so much. So I am a bit warry not to give people a chance!
Ok first off Lisa I'm not seeing the group you said to continue this on so I'm saying this here...
I think that anyone who wants to join should be allowed to as long as they have a real blog (no xango, myspace, etc). I do however agree we need more moderators and if we start noticing people posting too much self promotion than we can moderate those people or remove them. I think more people is always better I don't think there needs to be a selection process because ultimately the blog that you might like could be different than the one I want to read so if we call ourself 20something bloggers than really those are the only 2 criteria ... must be a real blogger and must be in your twenties. I'm a bit behind on keeping up with adding people to RSS on front page and I plan to get updated very soon.

Yeah, I'm not loving the link back idea either. But seriously, let's go to the group I made for this discussion so we can keep things on different threads, etc
