the blogger meet up of all meet ups...SERIOUSLY
Jenn and I were just talking about planning a 20something meet up. Not just little city meetups, but a big one. I know people talk about it all the time but nothing really comes from it.
Well if people are seriously interested in doing something like this Jenn and myself will do our best to make it happen.
Right now we are just gauging interest before talking about locations and stuff. Would you SERIOUSLY go to a big 20SB meet up?

Blogger meetups are so great. Given enough advance notice I could probably shoot somewhere for a day or two and make a small trip of it (tough tucked down here in Charleston but I can make it work).

I agree with Matt about setting a date. Maybe along with the poll for the cities, you guys could also work on a poll that had a few months to choose from, or even go as specific as dates. It makes it easier for people to decide if they knew their options rather than making it seem like it's up to EVERYONE to decide. You'll never get any kind of agreement that way. But if people knew their options, you'll get more solid answers.
In any case, think this is a great idea. I would love to go if it's possible :)

I would definitely be down for this! I see Spring 09 is being proposed - are exact dates being discussed yet? How about not late April/May (I don't see myself going away that close to my wedding!)?
Is this going to be purely a fun meetup, or will it be convention-style where we have presentations etc...I'm sure there is lots about blogging that we'd like to discuss, as well as those among us qualified to lead discussions.

I'd be careful with late April/early May for college students as well, because you are looking at finals and graduation times...or that might just be for me.

I think what I'm going to do is after we narrow down a city, I will create a couple different polls including month, city and whether it should be a fun meetup or convention-style.
Convention style would mean that we'd have to find people willing to speak and some sponsors. It wouldn't be difficult I'm sure, but that could get costly.

I'm definitely down as long as the price isn't too much. The weekend in Chicago wasn't that bad price wise, but we stayed outside of the city which isn't ideal. Hopefully if we get a big enough group together we can get a good discount.
Either way it's going to be fabulous!
