Is there anything you would skip eating just to buy?
I just spent all my food money on shoes, and now I'm realizing I might be living on saltine crackers and soup for the rest of the week. But I couldn't help it, I would have obsessed over them all month.
So, that made me wonder, am I the only moron who does this? Is there anything you would skip eating for a week just to buy? Or do you budget in "various must have item" fund?

not at all. i LIVE for my next meal. (ok, that's probably an overstatement, but you know what i mean).
i'd much rather save up (even if takes me all year) to buy the things I really want instead of depriving myself out of delicious food.

You're not alone. I spend money on tech and gadgets and it gets REALLY bad when I buy stuff for my guitar.

I've done that before too, i think my mind just doesn't like me having a proper budget. It always wants me to splurge on something!

I would eat crappy food (i.e. cheap mac n' cheese, off brand spaghettio's, etc.) before I would give up my daily coffee from the coffee cart.

If it was absolutely necessary, like something health-related (although food is health-related), I would dip into my food money.
I also keep my credit cards without debt in case of an extreme emergency.

I usually blow a lot of money on going out (for dinner or drinks) and then have to eat shitty stuff until the next pay day. I've also been know to do the same thing with clothes or shoes. Maybe I need to develop some budgeting skills or something...
