The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Is there anything you would skip eating just to buy?

I just spent all my food money on shoes, and now I'm realizing I might be living on saltine crackers and soup for the rest of the week. But I couldn't help it, I would have obsessed over them all month.

So, that made me wonder, am I the only moron who does this? Is there anything you would skip eating for a week just to buy? Or do you budget in "various must have item" fund?

I haven't been brave enough to try...the closest I got was becoming a vegetarian for a week.
That was a bad week. No one liked me.
I live directly above the Gap; like, their lighting fixtures keep my hardwood floors warm...I know of every healthy, cheap, grocery store food available because of this...oh, and Vickie's is just across the promenade, which is equally detrimental. Try Green Giant's newest mixed veggie concoctions -- they're $3 and some change and one bag serves as 2-3 good-sized bowls of veggies with sauce. At 45 calories per serving...I've just shared with you the secret to not gaining 20 lbs on cheap food but still getting your shoes...you're welcome :) haha j/k.

-me!
No...I don't think I would give up eating so that I could use the money to buy something else. I like to eat! And not cheap food - no fast food for me.
But perhaps I'd be fine giving up eating out for a while and put the extra money towards whatever it was I wanted to buy...
cigarettes. wonderful, fabulous cigarettes.

i'm a student, so i'm in debt and stressed and busy and poor, i OFTEN skip meals cos my money's spent on cigaettes, which NOW cost around €8.20 for a box of 20.... (thanks to the evil government who HATE US DOING ANYTHING FUN)
I WOULD spend all my food money on TRIPS around the world....clothes
