Finger Talks
Kind a spur of the moment thing. I'm not big on planning...
When I was a kid and my sister used to baby sit me, we made up this game where our finger would talk to each other, each one had a name and personality and they would have converations and eventually backstories. As I got a little older if I wanted to tell her something that I was chicken to say, I would have one of my fingers say it one of hers. So Finger Talks was just my way of saying here's a place where i can say whatever i want and not worry about it.

I just thought of the one thing I always want to say when I see someone eating like a yappy dog:

"Please don't eat with your mouth open"

The actual url is nothing to do with that though. sleepingeyes is just a tiny bit of a lyric from a jack johnson song "I know she loves the sunrise, no longer sees it with her sleeping eyes' that I was listening to when I decided to start a blog. I didn't think anything would come of it, so never thought to change it to something more catchy.
I thought it was because everyone always commented on your eyes. Specifically that they look sleepy. You did say that once didn't you?
Haha! Random - not sure that's me you're thinking of...my eyes are normal. It's just from a jack johnson song. I dont think I've ever specified what level of sleepy my eyes are

I'm pretty sleepy now though.
mine's not that creative.

at all.
OnTheMic? It was inspired by a lyric in a song by The New Pornographers ("The Laws Have Changed"). There's a bit that says: "Introducing for the first time -- Pharaoh on the microphone!"

Pharaoh is one of my internet monikers, and I am really really into audio posting, and hosted a very short-lived podcast for a bit as well, so it was literally Pharaoh On the Microphone. And then I just shortened it to OnTheMic, and it kinda stuck. haha
A MinD in MoTown was, more or less, me cropping down my name and the town I live in and attempting to be clever. You can either read it as "A Mindy in Motown" or "A mind in Motown."

My name is Mindy (short for Melinda), but I have friends who write it out as MinD, which is really mind, hence reading into it two ways.

MoTown is the nickname for where I live: Mooresville, NC. Because of the population size, it's technically a town (Town of Mooresville, ToM), so MoTown was born.
Posted it on your blog - but figured I would post it here too! :) People jokingly refer to me as a JAP (Jewish American Princess), and I when I started my blog, I had just read Perks of Being a Wallflower - so now you have Perks of Being a JAP! :)
One morning after being out really late with some friends at a party I was complaining about how gross and awful I felt. I kept thinking "oh if only I had gone to bed earlier I wouldn't feel so bad right now" and told my friend that next time she should send me home at 12, hence www.sendmehomeat12.wordpress.com !
Undulations is used to describe waves. My blog deals primarily with my physics life (waves are very important to physics) and Middle Eastern dance, which utilizes a move called an undulation.
Well my blog is titled "The Rest Is Still Unwritten" and although many people think it's from the song "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield, I actually came up with it for a different reason.

I consider myself a work in progress and whatever I write, it never seems complete or good enough. So needless to say, I do a lot of revising! Sometimes I even scratch the whole thing because to be perfectly honest, I often hate my writing. I know that sounds totally fucked up and I do realize that. I guess I'm sort of a perfectionist, although I have much that needs perfected. And like most writers, or in my case a wannabe-writter, I'm my own worst critic.

Because it's a blog and I continue to write and write, naturally the rest is unwritten. I will admit though, the lyrics to that song are rather fitting.
Ruminations of the Rennaisance Man is about a guy who thinks a lot about a lot of things.
