The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Simple enough: pick your theme song.

Not your favorite song. Rather, what song would we hear if we plugged you into an iPod or set you to spin at 33 1/3rpm?

Mine's Modest Mouse's "Dark Center of the Universe."

Although... if you asked anybody in my family was my theme song would be, they'd say it was:

Joy to the World - Three Dog Night AKA Jeremiah was a Bullfrog... ugh, why am I posting this? This song has been the bane of my existence for nearly 21 years.

And I'd like to say it could be Jeremy - Pearl Jam, but that songs about a kid who murdered his classmates... so yeah. No.
"Vienna" by Billy Joel is probably my favorite song because I can so closely relate to it. The first lines are exactly where I am in life: Slow down, you crazy child/you're so ambitious for a juvenile/But then if you're so smart, tell me/Why are you still so afraid?"

And this: Slow down, you're doing fine/You can't be everything you want to be/Before your time"

Is an awesome reminder.

Cool discussion.
Sarah -- Exactly! I don't think I've ever had a song speak to me more for the exact reasons as you've described.
I think Jamie Cullum's 'Twenty Something' should be the 20SB theme song. I'm not usually one for Jazz but this kid is nasty.
Haha, I love that song! It makes me smile every time I hear it...
Oh man mine changes all the time. I'll hear a song on the radio and go "oh! that's going on my soundtrack!" haha. Right now Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy is speaking to me for some reason. It's one of my favorite songs and just reminds me of the really good times in my life.
I'm intrigued that a Zeppelin song should do that for a twenty-something. Are you by any chance living the movie Dazed and Confused? Very cool, regardless. Love Zeppelin.
currently my theme song is "oxford comma" by vampire weekend
Too many songs to choose from.

I'm a huge fan of Someday (Soon) by The Real Tuesday Weld.
My theme song has been "On the Radio" by Regina Spektor for quite some time now.

"This is how it works: You're young until you're not, you love until you don't, you try until you can't. You laugh until you cry, you cry until you laugh, and everyone must breathe until their dying breath."
Weird. I'm listening to it right now.
Haha, that IS weird.
