The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Jenn needs help with this meet up thing and all of you who said you will help flaked out, minus a select few.

So if you guys really want this to happen then you need to give some input.

If you aren't going to find some info on Boston and New York, then by default it will be in Chicago. Obviously, someone in Chicago can't plan something in another city with no help. So if no one in those cities is going to actively help then Chicago it is. Anyone want to do some research in Boston or NY now?

Next order of business, answer these questions:

1. Convention style or regular meet up/fun stuff?
2. Weekend or during the week?
3. What do you want out of this besides meeting each other? Touristy stuff? Shopping? Partying? Whatever it is you want, comment with it.

Don't just leave a comment in here and say you think this is an awesome idea and it should happen. You input and thoughts are needed if you want this to happen so please answer these questions. All of them.

Thanks.

ETA: I'm not trying to be a mega bitch but Jenn was trying to do this and came to me when no one got back to her. If this is really going to happen then we obviously need some help. I love you all so don't hate me <3

1. Convention style or regular meet up/fun stuff? - uhhhh i can't even answer this question because thinking "fun stuff" is making me think of chuck E Cheese. I think a combination of the two would be nice. Perhaps having some forums/breakout groups in the AM would be nice so we can actually get something out of this rather than a weekend to party down (which i do in boston when i visit my friends anyhow) because honestly? It's a lot of money to just go...hang out with a bunch of strangers and drink all weekend.
2. Weekend or during the week? - weekend. most of us have full time jobs. Preferrably spring/early summer - i'm getting married in the fall and the later in the summer the less likely i'll be able to participate. which would be regrettable.
3. What do you want out of this besides meeting each other? Touristy stuff? Shopping? Partying? Whatever it is you want, comment with it. - i think the main point should be a little bit of everything. Clearly people who've never been are going to want to see the sites, clearly we want to meet each other and avoid the petty cliques that may form (per blogHer so i've heard) and while we all want to party? Some of us don't have livers of steel. Let's not have the whole weekend REVOLVE around partying.

Also, I lived in Boston for five years. If you need any help researching, email me. Just ask. I'd be happy to help.
sooo excited about this!

1. fun stuff!
2. i second ben's fly in thurs, party fri-sun.
3. bar crawl! i've only driven through boston so i'd love to do touristy stuff and see some of the city. we should do a sporty type thing - like a kickball tournament. or a scavenger hunt! some sort of team-building get to know each other for reals type stuff.

random thought: we should try to all book in one hotel to get a group rate. can you imagine the debauchery of a floor filled with 20sb's?
I haven't been following this at all, but since I'm obviously in Boston, let me know what I can do to help. Excited!!
In case you all missed my tweet on Twitter, Boston has won the vote!

Dates will soon follow.

If you're not following me on Twitter, please do as I tend to put a lot of updates there.

@freeandflawed
YAY!!!!!! just not June 20th weekend.

can you say mani/pedis while watching marathons of The Soup at Julie Q's Casa?!?! (after hours of course lol)

put me to work! i'll do whatever research you need :)
BOSTON!!! yesss!
alright well if we DO just end up getting a hotel room, manis/pedis and The Soup marathons are still a must!

meg we're going to have to put together welcome baskets for the out of towners like its our freakin' wedding or something :) :)
Hahaha. I'm down with manis/pedis. Lord knows we'll need it after planning this!!

I'll keep you informed for sure. You're now my eyes and ears around Boston.
Boston is PERFECT! I should definitely be in.
w00t Boston.

this is awesome
YEEEAAAAAH BOSTON!

I seriously think we should make some pitches to hotels to get group rates. I mean, they're getting a target demographic with built-in publicity through dozens if not hundreds of blogs at once. It's a pretty good deal for them. That way we also have big conference rooms if we want to bring in hotel bar service for a huge mixer or something.

I'm so all about this.

BOSTON 09 BABY!
I pitch all day long - I am on it!!
