The Bloggers With The Most To Say

What is the best way to go about things when someone (erm...your boss!) may have found your blog?

I made mine private immediately but now no one can read it so what's the point? This just happened half an hour ago and I'm not sure if anyone did find it but there's a chance they may have and a chance they may in the next couple hours. See, we're having file clean-outs but didn't get the chance to go into our computers ourselves.

I don't want to change my url and I still want all my blogging friends to be able to read my blog

Any suggestions??

I don't think there is an easy solution besides changing url and telling your friends. Im in the same boat (dont want my boss and certain family members seeing my blog) but i just make sure they cant find it. Its not listed in search engines and the only link to it is in 20sb.

So I dont get how they found/can find it on your computer.... browser history?
I know that if it's hosted on Blogger, you can make it private and require users to log in to see it - users you've already given permission to that is.

Jon, ANYTHING can be found on your computer. And if you boss found your blog, he could of done so via browser history. And even if you cleared out your cache, cookies and temp files, he could still see what you've been doing on your PC thru IT. IT departments for most companies can see/log every single thing that passes by a user's computer.

So pretty much, don't do or surf anything at work you aren't comfortable with your boss seeing.
lol its ok. i do all of my work via laptop even when im at the job. plus i administer the network so i know no one is watching my screen. but before my current job i had to be a little more careful. clearing cache, cookie and temp files did make it so no one could see my browser history. you might want to try google's new incognito mode of browsing as well.... i think they also have it on safari.
The real question is, why is your boss searching you on the internet?

sounds slightly stalker-ish...
Usually I blog at night and date it to publish the next morning, I do go on to check it sometimes though and the problem was through my computer history - I couldn't clear my cache or anything because there was a virus threat. That's why they went through the files.

I'm pretty sure it's fine, they found the problem and not my blog. I guess I'll have to be more careful about where I'm going online - even if I do it at lunch.
Wow...tough situation.

Myself...I'd just write about them finding your blog and make them feel guilty for reading it. :D

Good Luck!
