The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I recently looked at my world map, pinpointing the locations of the folks who visit "Thoughts..." and found myself absolutely engaged by it.

What kind of place do these people live in? What's their hometown like? What are they up to right now? Who are they?

Anyone else wish they got to know more about their casual reader?

Or am I abmormal in this?

Eh, I never much wonder about my casual reader. I do tend to see if people from back home or in the region I live in now check my blog out, and then, when I notice someone has, I wonder who. Ha.
I look at my world map from time to time and I'm always intrigued that I have my readers from other countries. I hate to admit it but sometimes they are from countries I've never even heard of.
You're not abnormal. I mean, I don't have very many (ok, practically any), but they do interest me. I wish they would comment so I could get to know them better--I like blogs that really feel like they have a community built up around them.

That said, my personal SiteMeter obsession is the Google search terms that somehow lead people to my blog. Those can be great fun, especially when they seem totally unconnected to anything I've ever written.
I ALWAYS wonder what actually draws people to my blog. I think that most of my readers are people that I know...
I don't look that often though I get a large number of hits from different parts of China - their search engine "Baidu" - so I do wonder about those. I have regular readers from Singapore, Germany and Israel, Australia and Italy, so I don't wonder too much. I have see Islamabad Pakistan a lot lately and wonder of that is a proxy because I can't really see someone from Pakistan reading my blog too often.

What's weirder is towns in this country, I just looked and there is a town called "Feasterville Trevose" - Pennsyvania on there.
how does one acquire this gadget?
Sweet...just signed up. Thanks!
Sweet jumping jackbeans!

I'm a spelling control freak and to have made a mistake like "yor" in this title is gonna give me night-time mares!
I think I love you :-)
I use feedjit...it gives you the same information...

I am interested in anyone who reads my blog. I wonder who they are and why they're interested in it.
Google Analytics is also a free and pretty effective way of tracking stats. And yes, it's always interesting to find out your readers' demographics - especially the lurkers.
