The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I would love to have an amazing, witty, succinct "about me" section on my Blogger/20sb/etc. profile, but those things are really hard to write.

Does anyone else feel the same?

Or do you think your "about me" kicks butt?

Have you seen one that you reall like?

Mine says:

Somehow, I've convinced the world I know what I'm doing. I don't. Stop by and watch in horror as the veil slips.

It probably paints me a little darker and scarier than I am in reality.

What about yours?

It's a constant battle. Say too much and you seem pretentious, say too little and you seem like a hipster douche that reads french poetry in the middle of a house party. At least that's my perception. I think all in all though if you stay away from the shameless and stay true to yourself it will all be good. The little blurb I had last month was something about how I write, design and develop which means your father already hates me. I think anything where you lay out the actual truth or can shed light on the situation will lessen the perception that you're full of yourself and could care less about who's reading it.
Mine is...

"Hey everyone! I'm Angela. I'm a twenty-year-old woman living in the Western United States with my beautiful wife and soul mate, Jennifer. I'm a geek, a gamer, an artist, a shopaholic, a cowgirl, a little bit gothy and a total girly-girl (and yes, so is my wife.) Welcome to my blog! Enjoy!"

It just came to me one day and I love it. ^_^
I've trimmed mine down a lot and though it doesn't kick butt it says what it has to say without being too boring.
http://wonderlandornot.net/about/

there is also an" about" in my footer( I don't always have one there) which is a poem I wrote in one of my blog posts back in 2006.
Mine makes me sound a lot more innocent than I actually am. I like it. My wicked side gets a kick out of fooling people who just drop in for a flying visit! You know - 'HA they think I'm innocent!' *cue dorky laugh* 'hahaHAHAHha' *snort* 'HA!'

Mmm.
You could probably add another sentence or two if you wanted. (Or of course, do whatever you want to it, it is yours after all!) :)

Here's mine: "25-year-old writer, designer, and awesome rock star. I've got 2 rambunctious cats. I play the euphonium, I'm addicted to notebooks, my favorite color is gray, and I love sharks. Also, I'm dedicated to taking on the challenge of being Chicago's Cupcake Expert."

I'm not completely wow-ed by mine. But it shows small snippets about my personality which are a little unique. It's very very seldom that someone's "about me" section will make me not want to read their blogs. (but yes, it has happened at least once)

Just be you. That's the only advice I can give. :)
Just had to say, I love that you play the euphonium (you do really play, right?)
I learned the euphonium when I was about 12, and have never heard of anyone playing one since.

I now return you to your schedualed programming.
I like yours the way it is!
It's often the hardest to keep succinct while writing, especially about one's self. Start small. Try 5 words. Then maybe a Haiku. Once you master the Haiku, try to sum yourself up in one single sentence. Then indulge and add a few more...a few more absolutely rich sentences that bleed out you. If you got carried away, now is the time to trim back by 10-20%. Then you're done. You won't be happy. But others may be.
Re-did mine on Blogspot:

My name is Angela, I am a twenty-year-old woman living in the Western United States with my beautiful wife Jennifer, who is my soul mate. I am a gamer, a geek, an artist, a shopaholic, a cowgirl, a little bit gothic, a girly girl and yes so is my wife, a LGBT rights supporter, a Wiccan, a lover of caffeine, a girl with a taste for Italian, Asian, Southern and home cookin' all the time, a cat person, a lover of all animals, a picture taker, a nature adorer, a crafty person, an Etsy admirer, a magazine reader, a housewife-in-training and so, so much more. Welcome to my blog!
I found it really important to have it outline the blog in as short as possible. I was hoping the reader might understand my personality/style/sense/direction by reading the couple of sentences. I settled with:

"I am a 22 year old, positive, hopefully immortal, English male.

Because of the small chance I may not live forever, I must try and live a full life and do everything I've wanted to do, which is where my 100 Things To Do list comes in."
Mine just says,

They say in your twenties you discover who you are. They say you try on different personas 'till you find it. I'm still looking.

I realize it doesn't say much about me, but hopefully tells you a little bit about where I'm at. I wanted to keep it short and, at the time, wasn't into putting energy into making it witty, or exciting or anything.
I think my About Me is just about perfect: "Current college senior with wildly fluctuating emotions/ego/BAC. Also, I like to dance."

I describes me pretty succinctly and gives people a good impression what they're going to get when they read my blog. All I've changed over the last two years is making sure my class year is correct. In May I suppose I'll have to change it to "Recent college graduate..."
