The Bloggers With The Most To Say

So a wine writing website that I've written articles for is asking me to put their banner on my Web site, http://www.thewinorhino.com. It sounds like a good deal ... I don't have to pay them anything and I get money based on how many hits go from my site to theirs.
However, I'm still apprehensive about putting ads on my blog/site. The last thing I want is to become one of those blogs overloaded with ads til it completely boggles the reader. So is one or two ads okay, or is it kind of like selling out?
How do you guys feel about ads on your blog? Okay, or no way?

They really don't bother me unless it affects my ability to read the blog.
Strategically and esthetically placed ads are perfectly fine. When its just plastered all over the place, it puts off the readers.

If it's not obtrusive or blinking, I don't mind them.
If it's relevant, unobtrusive, aesthetically appealing, and not flashing--then I say go for it. Also I'd stick with few ads, a sidebar of ads is tacky.
I agree with what everyone here has said! If it's unobstrusive then any real readers won't care. How cool that they asked you for that, I guess it's at least worth a try.
