All Blogging-Related Sites

I wasn't entirely sure if this should be here or in the technology forum, but I figure it'll be moved if it's in the wrong place anyway.

I'm currently working on teaching myself how to code in Objective-C and Cocoa so that I can make programs in the native OS X language. The project I'm trying to jump feet first in to would be a blogging program--one that gathers all the RSS feeds from blogs you follow, allows you to save posts, release posts to multiple blogs at the same time, queue them for their release, and provide some tools to help you promote your blog/post.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about blog promotion. I only recently heard about del.icio.us, and still have yet to check it out because... Well, I have no reason to haha. Not yet, at least. SO! I was hoping that all of you could give me some websites that you use to promote your blog or other tools that you would consider essential to your blogging. I'm pretty basic as far as things go--kinda just type everything out in Blogger and hit "post" when I'm done, then tweet about it once. Nothing terribly exciting, and it certainly doesn't get much attention that way.

Of course, for helping me out, you will all be thanked by having a free license to this program once it's released. :]]] In a few weeks (maybe a month or two) when I have a beta, I'll be making a post in the technology forum to see who would like to help me test it!
