Hey there!
I've walked in all shoes. I've been blogging for about 8 years now.
I had a blog where I detailed things about life, and ultimately, even might have gotten canned as a result of it. But I still do it.

I've also had a few 'alter ego' blogs. They were very fun, and pretty creatively inspiring.

but now I blog as anonymously as I can. I keep my face hidden, I keep my name private...
and a few of my friends know of my blog. But 99% of my readers don't know who I am, which allows me a lot of freedom.

The truth?

You will always offend SOMEONE if you are always being honest.
Unless you can keep your blog 100% positive (which really, who the hell wants to read THAT?)

You just have to learn how to deal with offending people and how to stand by what you say.
Think about everything you write. If you're not willing to stand by it, don't put it out there.
Very simple.

Happy blogging!

Hey Lara!

I'm a public blogger. Here is how I manage to offend zero people in my life.

My wife: I honestly have nothing bad to say about her. We've been together seven years, married for three, we spend 24/7 together and LIKE IT. :P She's my soul mate, my better half, my everything. So I literally just... Have nothing bad to say. *shrug*

My in-laws: While they can drive me crazy, my mother-in-law once told me that she truly doesn't care if I talk about her. She believes everyone talks about everyone and talking is a good way to get rid of feelings. So if we disagree on something, etc. she really doesn't care if I talk about it. Plus, she doesn't care about reading my blog. It's not really her thing. Same with my father-in-law.

My side of the family: I don't talk to them. *shrug*
I am a public blogger.

I don't really offend anyone in my real life, because I usually don't talk about many people that I actually know. Also, people in my life don't read my blog. I have a few, in real life friends, who have the link to my blog. I don't believe they read it religiously or anything like that.

The person I talk about the most in my blog is my boyfriend, and he reads it. I don't have a bad word to say about him.

Basically, I feel if I was to write something, I should be able to say it to their face. That still doesn't stop me. So, I then write what I feel. It doesn't matter if it is positive or negative. There's a pretty good chance they aren't going to read it. My blog is my personal space. I try to make it as personal as possible. It's my creative outlet, and I'm not going to censor myself in fear of offending anyone.
I don't necessarily blog anonymously, hence my name, but I haven't told anyone that I actually know in person that I have a blog, aside from one friend from college.
