Any House Hunters Out There?
Hi!
I was wondering if there are any other house hunters out there blogging about their experiences trying to buy a house. We're first time home buyers and we've been looking for almost 6 months now and have had 4 contracts fall through. At this rate I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever buy a house.
I love watching shows like House Hunters and Property Virgins but would love to read about other people's REAL experiences buying a house because I can't imagine that for most people it's as easy as seeing 3 great properties, picking the one you like the best and in a couple of months later you're in your new and fully decorated house.

I bought a house in January, but I do love those two shows - House Hunters and Property Virgins. It makes me realize just how expensive houses are in my area... but at least I got through it. I ended up finding the property online, going to see it during the open house, and then due to some peculiar circumstances, had to go to court to actually buy the place. I got a deal though, compared to what everyone else would get for the same price in the area. It sure takes a lot of patience!
You should also check out sites like Roost, Trulia, and RedFin. :) Very helpful in terms of finding houses that fit your criteria.
