The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I like to randomly click on people's profiles, go to their blogs, and read a bit. The more I do this, the less interesting I feel. I don't own a boutique. I'm an amateur, not professional, photographer. I'm getting married, but my wedding will look nothing like the amazing weddings I've found being planned on this site. I don't get comments in the double digits on my posts. It's downright discouraging. Can't you folks be a little less cool?

Anyone else feeling this way?

I think its natural to feel inadequate at times but it should never be in regards to something that you love and do for yourself. Everyone has their own reasons for blogging, styles, opinions, talents and thats what makes each of us so awesome.

Not everyone is going to like my blog, or your blog and thats fine. But some people will and will fall in love with the person who writes it. Not how fabulous your life is, or how beautiful your wedding is. But you, the person behind the words.
I read the best quote recently:

"If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain for bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself."

Not sure where it came from but I have it posted on my desk at work and it helps in all areas of life (including blogging!)
Yeah.. sometimes I feel like that.. especially if they have so many followers and so many interesting things to write about.
It's true, not many people leave comments on mines as yet.. I don't have much of a strong following.. but I'm motivated to go out there in cyberspace and advertise my blog.. Also, I get ideas from reading other blogs..

Keep at it.. Keep motivated!
Dearie,

Most of the people on this site are genuinely unaccomplished, myself included. If we were all truly accomplished individuals who were rolling in dough, were devoid of personal angst, frustrations, and failings; we wouldn't have blogs.

Chin up and all that. It's not as bad as you think.

It obviously depends on whose page I meander over to, but sometimes, I definitely feel that way.
no question. this is a great topic, by the way.

it's such a great community because no one's walking around like they are important or impressive...this place is really about sharing your blog with people in the same stage of life as you are, and in that way you'll find more readers and inspiration.

i try and take the feeling of inadequacy (especially when i think someone's writing or blog is just downright cooler than mine) as inspiration to get more creative. it's not easy, don't get me wrong.
OMG YES!!! you see otehr peoples and there all soo good or with really good bacgrounds and there blog list goes back about 3 years! i treid to be cool after seeing all the pretty backgrounds but failed horribly adn actually ended up ruining my page and gettin it stuck like that! so i hd to start all over again!
