The Bloggers With The Most To Say
Looking to network, discuss, etc.
My shop is... http://www.etsy.com/shop/theashes
I don't have a focus, really. I just sell whatever I make. I wonder if that's why my sales are not great. But it's mostly for fun, and an excuse to make tons of stuff, and then some extra cash for more craft stuff!
Why are you on Etsy?
Permalink Reply by Sarah Mazzone on October 3, 2011 at 10:51pm Hi Ashley! I just favorited your shop. If your interested, I can help you promote your work through my blog. I blog about American made products, with a current emphasis on handmade goods. On a personal note, I'm looking for someone who can crochet or knit me a hat for my son's Halloween costume! Perhaps we can strike a barter: hat for advertising/promotion?

What kind of hat are you looking for for your sons Halloween costume? I'd love for us to be able to help each other out!

I'm actually looking into starting a shop. Crochet mostly, may dabble into jewelry. But i'm afraid to start and not sell anything, then be stuck with a million things nobody wants. But will be doing it for extra cash and as a hobbie outside of working.

Another idea to make stock that would be able to be gifts for people if they don't sell. Or, if they don't sell, you could donate them to charity. (You can write that sort of thing off on your taxes)

I'm not on Etsy myself, but I help a friend manage her shop and really enjoy it. She sells vintage bedding and fabics at Garden Laundry, if you'd like to check it out.

Permalink Reply by Allison on October 4, 2011 at 8:36pm I don't have many sales either, but it's not like it's my career (though it would be awesome if it could be).
