The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I've just had an email from one of my colleagues, JD, with the subject 'Is the Time Traveller's Wife your favourite book???' and then a screen print of my blog in the email!

He's just come over to me and said that a guy he's working with suggested he look at his blog, and whilst looking at his Blogger Profile saw that the Time Travellers Wife was listed as his favourite book. Thinking that was odd as a favourite book for a guy, he click the link to the book and up came a list of blogs. Out of 13,500 I was at the top.

I've come to the conclusion that it's because my profile was updated recently, and that's why my name was first, but isn't it odd that a series of events lead to that??

Anything similar happened to any one of you?

I recently got a comment saying a blog reader is an old family friend's friend...and that we were at a 21st birthday together! Small world. Great topic here :)
aww thank you! but it appears as though we are the only two this has happened to!! xx
I've never had anyone comment on mine from real life that randomly stumbled on it. But I have had some random people tell me in person that they read something on my blog. People I didn't even know knew I had a blog! It's always a minute of confusion when someone surprises me like that. :)
i often wonder what it's like for 'fans' of bloggers to meet the authors. i'm an avid reader of cherry menlove and she lives close to me - sometimes even read she's been at the same place just moments after me and i wonder if i ever saw her, i'd just look at her and think *omg! that's cherry!*
haha! I'd totally do that! And then follow the person around and probably never say hi. Because I'm creepy like that. :)
yeah that happens to me a lot..i never know how to respond haha
Well, an ex-colleague of my husband stumbled onto my blog...she texted him, "I love your wife's blog!" and he was like..."Um...what blog?" OUTED :P
My dad.

He refuses to admit it but I know.
Not someone that I know personally, but my boyfriend does. One day he was at work, and his co-worker was like, "I know something about you" or something along those lines. He was confused and then she said, "I found your girlfriends blog!" I guess by clicking 'next blog' at the top of blogs through blogger, she came across mine and was looking through the posts and saw my boyfriend, who she works with.
I've had people (local actors, indie bands) who journal posts were written about find them and leave comments--SO embarrassing! That's the power of Google, I guess.
I saw this girl I knew from high school recently (haven't seen each other in a long time) who said she was doing research for a communications class when she came across an article on my blog.

It made me feel really good (=
I have my blog link on my Goodreads profile. Three of my friends on there are friends from high school. One noticed the link by herself, immediately started following, and has been quite wonderful in reading my little blog (57 followers?) to her behemoth blog (1000 followers?).

The second person is the only person I have purposely told that I have a blog.

The third person never noticed the link or never mentioned it. She's an avid blogger herself and designs her own websites, so I'm sure if she did notice it she would have mentioned it.
