The Bloggers With The Most To Say
Are you deterred when comments have to be approved?
I just recently started getting comments on my blog (yay!!! go check it out) and so I set the comments so that they have to be moderated and accepted by me before they actually post. I don't think my blog does the word verification thing (annoying) but if someone wants to say something rude I'd rather just keep it off my site (my blog my rules right?). But let me ask you, does this deter you from leaving comments when you see that? Or do you not really care?

Same. I don't even notice the approval thing most of the time. The word verification is what annoys me at times.

I don't care about approval one way or the other, or the word verification BUT since I don't use Blogger OR Wordpress, I hate the sites that require log in with one or the other... a. it's a pain the neck and b. you have to click in abou five different places to find my blog/how to contact me, which I think is more than anyone is ever going to want to do (ok, more than I would want to do!)

Nope, not a big deal to me, nor is the word verification. If I like the blog enough to comment then I'll comment whether or not I have to jump through a hoop.

I absolutely abhor the word verification, and will just about not post if I see its required. Irritates me. I'm ambivalent about moderated comments, but that's because I've gotten nasty comments before and recognize someone wanting to moderate. That being said, I don't moderate but of course as blog owner I have the right to delete any comments I choose!

Not really. The only thing that makes me mad is when (and this is mostly blogger users) you comment, have to fill out a CAPTCHA and you're still held for moderation. It makes me go GEEEEEZZZZZ xD
Otherwise I'm good with it.

We actually like when comments have to be approved, especially on bigger blogs, because than we know they have been read and the author has received/noticed them.
