Blog HTML

Hi there! Just joined this site and so far, so good! :)

I have been trying to figure this out, but I guess I'm not that HTML smart. SO...my question is, does anyone know how to do HTML? I feel that my blog needs a makeover that goes beyond a template and I need help! Anything would be GREATLY appreciated.
