The Bloggers With The Most To Say

I know this topic has been discussed so many times before on this site. But all I want is an online tutorial. Any suggestions and tips? I have made my decision. I am ready to take my blog to the next level. Thanks!

Wordpress.com or self hosted?

I have both but this is a short self hosted tutorial from my host.

The free wordpress.com has a pretty simple start tutorial as well.

I actually jsut made the switch from blogger to self hosted wordpress. It took about 5 hours total of utter frustration until I figured it out and had everything up and running. There are numerous tutorials out there that can help you. Mainly, get a domain, get hosting, then download wordpress through your host. That is the easy part. Then comes uploading a theme and downloading a plugin that allows you to import from blogger. Beware though, because many of your posts imported will not be able to be edited in wordpress, which results in misaligned text and whatnot.
Don't listen to too many horror stories is my advice.  Don't be put off because someone says it's hard.  I can set up hosting , install WP and transfer posts in less than 1 hour - but possibly because I've done so many transfer with my company.  All-in-all it isn't that hard and WP now has an import option so it will link directly to your blogger acct and import after asking you a couple of questions.  I say sign up to WP and just play around with it - best way to learn!
I tried it but I am not too fond of Wordpress. Maybe I am just too stupid to use it.
