Blogging for online Magazines

Hi all, I wanted to ask, has any of you written for an online magazine and if so could you tell what a company mean by article samples? I guessing just snips from a post, but then they could mean the entire post. I'm not too sure what to send. Just received and email asking for a descripton of myself and three samples of my work.

Writing samples are generally entire pieces. So they want 3 complete articles that you've written.
