The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Today is the final day of my seasonal job (I do taxes) and as I approach unemployment I would love some suggestions of books to read while I'm drinking lemonade on my back deck or snuggling with my puppy on the couch.

What are you reading right now?

What is a book you think everyone needs to read at least once?

I remember when Cassandra Clare was Cassandra Claire and a BNF in the Harry Potter and LOTR fandoms. The Draco Trilogy and The Very Secret Diaries were almost cult-like in the fandoms.

The trilogy's been taken down due to her professional writing career taking off... but they're around the interwebs somewhere if you want a copy. :)
I recommend The History of Love by Nicole Krauss
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini :)
The public library was having a sale this week so I went today after my exam. I found a book that will soon become a permanent table piece.

Falconry, Art and Practice by Emma Ford it was only 3 bucks!

It's a comprehensive guide to the art and practice of falconry HOW EPIC IS THAT! I'm getting a falcon!
Hi! I would have to say that the book Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier is a must read. I think they also made it into a film once. It depends on the type of books you like to read but it a romance and classic mystery all in one! :)
Nora Roberts The Bride Quartet series
Oooh I LOVE the Sookie Stackhouse novels. They're fun and a little grittier than the Twilight series.
they're sooooooo much better than Twilight, IMO =)
The Bride Stripped Bare - an anonymous journal
A Widow for One Year - John Irving
The Time Traveler's Wife
Freakonomics and the newer SuperFreakonomics
Presently I am reading:

Epic
The Happiness Project
Crazy Love
The Narnia Series

I always will recommend
The Great Gatsby
To Kill A Mockingbird
Ender's Game
The Harry Potter Series
I'm presently reading Possession by A.S. Byatt. Great book. Very feminist in a conciliatory way (as opposed to separatist.)

Recently I read Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison. Incredible novel; I'd recommend it to just about anyone. Same with To Kill a Mocking Bird and Snow Falling on Cedars.
Oh! I also highly recommend reading Dracula by Bram Stoker. It's one of my favorites.

I honestly am not one for chick lit, mystery, drama, thriller, (straight) romance novels, etc. I prefer light horror like Dracula, Frankenstein, those kinds. Plus fiction like you can find on ThinkGeek. I also like How-To, D&D, gaming novels, magazines, art... That kind of reading. ^_^ But I do like some fantasy - Harry Potter, The Hobbit...

Oh yeah - DUH, I uberly recommend the Harry Potter series.
