The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Okay, so what did everyone think of Lady Gaga's new single? I personally love it. It for sure grew on me. Now I can't stop listening to it.

You can listen to it hear, and read my brief first thoughts on the song.

Complete imitation of Express Yourself.  Which isn't bad in and of itself, but I find the lyrics to be a little too contrite.

I would like it more if she had offered this song for free on iTunes or somethign of the sort, since it's supposed to be an "It Gets Better" type of thing from her.

You're right, it does sound a lot like Express Yourself. I don't have anything against Lady Gaga, but I can't understand how she wouldn't be able to hear the similarities between her song and Madonna's. You'd think that with all the comparisons drawn between the two of them, she would try to go in a different direction.

Well first off, I LOVE lady gaga. When I first heard the song though, I wasn't sure. I thought it was very 80's and very Madonna. But I like the point of the song, and now it's definitley growing on me.

Nothing can take away the fact that she is an amazing performer. I've seen her in concert and she's incredible live.

I like it even though it does sound like express yourself.
I'm ready for her to fade away.  I don't care for her music.
I am greatly disappointed with this single. Lady Gaga has the vocal abilities and the song-writing capabilities to do so much more than this. It was like expecting a bike for Christmas and getting a chewed up doggy toy instead. Not only does it fail to be original (cue comparisons to Express Yourself), but I felt like it lacked the odd factor, the "gaga" factor if you will, that makes her songs attention-grabbing. Same with the new Britney Spears single. Both of these pop stars can do better than what they just released. Unfortunately, my morning commute has me listening to both of these songs on the radio nearly non-stop, so I get these songs stuck in my head quite often.
WIN.

I loved her first album, even though I think Gaga herself is a vile human being that should be thrown under a Mack truck.

However, this song is really disappointing. It's basically just a shitty 90's club mix. If I were Madonna, I would sue.

Her music annoys me almost as much as her face.
