The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Busty ladies who take it off! Now that I have your attention, have you ever had a breast reduction?

I'm going for a consultation with a plastic surgeon because I desperately want a breast reduction...

Has anyone else out there had one and want to give me some anecdotes or info? Or is there anyone else out there considering having one??

Good luck! I would love to have one, but I feel like I need to lose some weight before I can really consider it. I knew someone who had one though and she was really happy with how it went.
2 women I've worked with have had breast reductions and talked a bit about them.

1. It was much more painful than they expected.
2. They both had to have a second reduction because their boobs filled back in.

Sarah was an E and went down to a C, was back to a DD within a few months after the first surgery. After the second she filled into about a D.

However, they are both happier now that it's done because they don't have the back pain etc.

My wife similarly wants a breast reduction. She's a D/DD and has a small frame. It's hard to exercise, go running, etc. It'll be a while before we can afford that though.

Best of luck!
Out of curiosity, does your want for breast reduction surgery have anything to do with your Mom's recent diagnoses? Of course you don't have to answer that because I realize it's a very personal question. Just something to think about.

By the way, how is your Mom doing?
Not to answer for her, but LL has been mentioning breast reduction for a really long time, long before her mom's diagnosis.
No but the timing is kind of weird. I actually spoke to my doctor about getting the reduction in January or February, and because the Canadian health care system is so gosh darn wonderful, it took the surgeon til May to inform me I couldn't get a consultation until the end of August. Who knows when I will get in for the surgery if I decide to do it.

Mom's good. Surgery went well, they tested some lymph nodes too and those were cancer free. Now she just needs to heal and then she does five weeks of radiation - not sure if that will change, that's just what we know now.
That's great that your Mom is doing better! I'm sure that's a huge sigh of relief. Hopefully things keep improving and she stays strong thru radiation. Keep us posted. :)

As far as the breast reduction surgery goes, if it's something you want to do and if you have valid reasons for doing it (which it sounds like you do), then I say go for it. You only live once so you might as well live as happy as you can.
Well that's just it... my Aunt who just had a reduction is 55... I don't want to wait til I'm that age to be happy.
I personally have considered it, but plan to wait till after I have kids. Truthfully they are already big enough, and with my family history, will be just too big after. It is not worth the stress, not to mention physical problems. I know two people who had them for the same reasoning and were very happy.
I've considered it. There are a lot of reasons to do it but I probably won't until after I have kids at least. ... If I do, I guess.
I actually don't want kids at all - and part of the reasoning is looking at what childbirth has done to the breasts of the women in my family, namely, made them bigger and badder! My Aunt just had a reduction and she was an F cup. Yeesh. No thanks!
Yeah... I definitely don't think I would like that much either. Running is already a task since I wear usually two bras and a stupid bra-shirt. It's a lot of work! :)
I wish... but I totally don't have the money.
