Buying a URl
so im about to by my own domain name, but im worried because ive heard some horror stories, like lost all my followers, lost all my comments....
what do you guys think? yes or no to buying a url?

i'd go for Yes. it gives you more freedom to do whatever you want and there's very nice conversion tools available for all major blogging sites. If you take the time to do things properly, you won't lose anything.

Getting a domain name is really simple...you don't have to worry about losing any info on your blog. If you have blogger, it's especially easy since you can buy one off google apps for just $10/year. That's what I did. I actually transferred my entire blogger blog over to a self hosted wordpress without managing to not lose any posts/comments/followers etc :)
