It's official, the 20SB Meet-up in Chicago is now in full swing and that means many of us Canadians need to start thinking about the perilous, yet thrilling, journey to visit that great big country south of us. This is a great chance for us to help show off the "North" in North American blogging talent, not to mention make some great new friends and bonds with our excellent American hosts! Mystery, danger, great planned activities and a chance to meet those risqué American women? Sign me up!
I'm sure you're telling yourself right now, "That sounds like good, clean, seductive fun! How am I going to get there?" Good question! I've taken the liberty of writing down some travel information that could be useful to your plans! Information on the best greyhound buses leaving Toronto (because let's face it, we all know we're the centre of the universe), car rental ideas and details on cheap flight costs for most major Canadian cities are included.
For those who are going to choose the "epic-road trip" option as opposed to flying, Toronto and Montréal make for cheap pit stops. Also, if you're looking to pick up some extra bloggers to help share the burden of travel costs, these are your best bets.
No matter how you look at it, car-pooling remains by far the cheapest option, not to mention that it has the most potential for grand adventures. No trip to the States is complete without a pit stop at IHOP or Denny's. That being said, if you are interested in car pooling, or if you are driving and have room for someone else, or please send me an email (I'll post it at the bottom). Be specific in what you're looking for (i.e. just looking for a ride from X to Chicago, looking for a place to crash on the way, we're heading out on the 24th or 25th and we need more people to help split gas, etc). Also, know that I'm not in anyway related to the planning committee. I'm just doing this on my own time due to the fact that I am damn excited.
Cheers
