Cancer
I noticed that there are no specific discussions on cancer which is odd, considering almost everyone knows someone or of someone who has been touched by cancer.
I'm involved with the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life (as a volunteer, I'm not on staff) and the Relay I participate in is just a few short weeks away. I’ve lost loved ones, seen others fight, and know good friends who are battling every day for their lives.
My cancer emotions are on their yearly high because my Relay is right around the corner so I can feel a cancer blog post coming soon but I wanted to create a forum for everyone to share their cancer experiences. Through cancer, unfortunately, we can all relate.
For anyone who needs some inspiration or a reason to keep fighting this disease, these are my words to you: Cancer sucks. And it can creep into your life quickly and quietly. Live each day to the fullest and love with all your heart. Appreciate all that you have and limit your regrets. Live happy.

It's true - you never stop missing the people you love, who loved you --- missing them just becomes part of your every day existence.

My grandpa has lung cancer and has had to deal with other types as well. A few of my distant relatives have passed away due to cancer. I lost one of my best friends after a long battle back in October at the ripe old age of 19. It's one of the most awful things to have to watch someone go through.
I am involved in the Northern Iowa Relay for Life. It's such an awesome concept, and our relay is coming up as well. Have fun during your relay. Awesome topic to bring up even though it sucks that so many of us have had to deal with it.

Hey everyone- This week is the Relay For Life at Michigan State University. The past few weeks have really picked up speed for me. Between working 8-5 then filming, editing, and coordinating... this video is finally complete: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDERYYtHBvs
That is MSU's Purple Glove Dance and our way of showing support to all who have won, lost, or are currently battling cancer. I'm really proud of it and I hope you enjoy!! I promise I will return to life after this weekend, til then... this is all I can show for myself!
