The Bloggers With The Most To Say
Has anyone else noticed the trend of dead animals popping up all over the world in the past couple of weeks? Check out this google map with all the recent stories about the massive amount of dead animals.
I mean, 150 tons of Red Tilapia in Thailand? There are even a bunch of dead penguins and starfish. Not to mention all of the dead birds. All of this really makes me wonder what's going on. What do you think?

Permalink Reply by Lexi on January 6, 2011 at 2:54pm its the beginning of Z-Day. soon, zombies will be devouring our brains.
edit: oh yeah.. and last week there was a news report in Raleigh about a woman who was found collapsed in the middle of the street in downtown and died in hospital the next day. They aren't releasing any information about her or why she died. if that isn't some z-day shit i don't know what is.

I read somewhere that England is having it's coldest winter in 120 years and there have been some really cold temps in the US so I'm going with fluke rather than we're all going to die.
I'm not siding with any conspiracy theories or anything, but its just creepy. Seriously, that map I linked is pretty crazy. I think all of those instances have happened in the past couple weeks. I just think that if there was something dire going on, we wouldn't know about it anyway. Why would they report on the scary details?
I'm sure its not the end of the world or anything...But I'm really not buying into the storm/cold stories.
And apparently there are a ton of dead crabs and doves as well.....
I am NOT a dooms day-er, but this stuff is scary and I don't buy the theories we've heard (cold, they all ran into something, etc) either.... too creepy
I know! You would think they would at least put some kind of effort into the stupid excuses they are coming up with.
It's all just really weird.

Basically, animals are always dying in large numbers. It is always happening. But the average person didn't notice it until now. They don't have the correct context to put it in.
All these different species probably died from separate, unique causes. I don't see how there could be a link at this point.
Permalink Reply by little m on January 8, 2011 at 7:06pm I agree, it is just unsettling to us when we notice it and cannot quantify it.
also;
The oceans are currently [beginning to] transform back into primordial seas unable to sustain higher life due to the amount of pollution we[humans] are pumping into the oceans en masse.
I've done a lot of reading on it, so it doesn't really surprise me to hear about huge masses of marine life dying. Red Tide kills fish, for example.
On a side note, not much has been mentioned in the media in regards to the after effects of the BP oil spill, so yeah, I am sure millions of tonnes of oil in the ocean would affect the marine life eventually. Though I don't pause to assume there aren't other contributing factors such as food availability, disease, water temperature affecting breeding habits or longevity etc etc ad nauseum.
Permalink Reply by Andy Jones on January 9, 2011 at 9:44am Oooooh I can see it. If you connect the dots it kind of looks like PCS... Now we just have to find who PCS is. Maybe Peter Camel-Smith?
My father said it was 2012, my younger brother said it was Independence Day with all the aliens entering the atmosphere and killing off animals, but I think I have it...The Andromeda Strain
We are all goners people, get your bucket lists ready.
Permalink Reply by Sara B. on January 9, 2011 at 1:01pm I live in Arkansas and we've had a little bit of attention lately about all of this dead animal hype. Last I heard, they were attributing the bird death to a hail storm, based on all of the bruising found on their bodies. I still have no idea why alll the fish are dying though. But, appparently, the people at Saturday Night Live felt it was an important enough issue to address. The dead animals were a topic for Weekend Update last night...
