I read a blog post this morning about people who used to be witty and engaging on their blogs but have somehow lost their touch. Quite a few blogs that I used to have on my reader are now not nearly as readable as they were when they were added, but there's a small part of me that would feel bad taking them off (although it would make keeping up with the really good blogs easier if I had less to read!)
How often do you "de-reader" someone, and what would it take for them to be taken off your must-read?
Hmm, very true. I guess I'm the same. I had a lot to say and had to pace myself when I started blogging, but now I've been known to go a couple of weeks without blogging. I still enjoy it though. I guess the ones that I'm finding less captivating are ones who are now desperately trying to blog every day but don't actually have much to say. Am still pondering the whole thing...
Every once and a while I clean out my reader. If I come across a blog that catches my interest then I'll subscribe. If I get bored or decide I don't like it's not a big deal for me to remove it.
It'd take a lot for me to remove one of my favorites though.
i usually only deread when they stop updating for a couple months. that or if it's a really good blog or a close friend, i'll always check. other blogs i check every so often
