Digg.com ... wowza!

I wrote a little list for lemondrop.com (link here) ... and within 24 hours it is one of the top stories at digg.com with 611 comments and 1507 "diggs."

Aside from the fact that 70 percent of the comments are negative, I'm finding this beyond fascinating. Has anyone ever heard of digg before? Since I hadn't, I didn't realize how many people read it and now starting to wonder, Does anyone use digg.com to find articles to read?

Digg has been around for a while. I've been using it for at least the last seven months or so. I've heard mixed reviews of the site, but sometimes I find some really awesome blog posts and articles there.

Does anyone use Digg? I LOVE DIGG!!! And have been addicted to it for years.

Your post wasn't awful. I thought it was pretty good actually. So I don't know why it got ripped apart. Although I can see people poking fun at the "smile" comment. I know when I fly, I'm usually in a miserable mood because I'm pressed for time, crammed into a stuffy plane and sitting by some sweaty dude who smells like Italian dressing for the next 4 hours of my life. Who could even fake a smile in a situation like that?

Congrats on it getting so much attention. Some of those comments really are bad. haha. I was a flight attendant, though, so I feel your pain. Nobody likes flight attendants anymore. No one but dirty old men.

Sorry but... if I'm going to receive those kinds of comments, I don't want anything I write showing up on digg!

I've had some pictures on flickr show up on stumble upon and I think 2 of my blog posts showed up on something similar to digg (I don't remember what it's called).. all it meant was I got a few hundred or more extra views, but no comments. I was like, what's the point?

Btw, I liked your article. Seemed very well written and made a lot of sense.
