Hey everyone! This is a totally random question that is not at all related to blogging, but I just know there has to be SOMEONE in this awesome community who knows about Victorian-era clothing and could help me out.
I'm going to the Dickens Christmas Fair in San Francisco this December, and they welcome people to come in "street clothes" (regular 21st century attire) OR dressed up in their best authentic Victorian attire. But if you show up TRYING to look Victorian and are not period-appropriate, you get laughed at, mocked, and sometimes they even throw stuff. (Okay, maybe not that last part.)
Anyway, I want to dress up this year. But I want to do it right. I have a corset already, but I have no idea how to make up a full outfit (preferably very inexpensively) that'll pass in the eyes of all the pros out there.
If you're an expert on this kind of thing and would be willing to help me out, I would be SO grateful!
Thanks!
