As I'm sure you know, many of the bloggers on here are getting married or may be in their 20's. Why not let them know what you could bring to the wedding?
This is not a place for brides/grooms to coming begging for free stuff (No Star Jones-ing allowed!) This is about excited people being able to find unique options for their special day.
Tips for success;
*leave a link to your website/flickr/portfolio
*list the area you can work in if your skill requires you to work in person
*email addresses FTW!
*if you are willing to do work for free to expand your portfolio or for being linked on a blog, say so right away
Two of my friends make beautiful handmade accessories from masquerade masks and hair pins to home accents, party supplies and decor, original artwork and jewelry.
Great stuff for weddings! They also do custom orders :)
I run the wedding planning blog, Soulful Engagements. It has everything from trends, tips & tricks, how-to articles and planning worksheets to help brides, who are their own wedding planners, successfully plan their wedding.
well, i really should buckle down and make myself a website specifically for this, but i've yet to do so.....
i am an event planner and have been planning weddings since 2005. i've got great references and many weddings under my belt.
i'm in the Ma/Ri area, but i've planned two weddings in VA while living in Ma, and planned one wedding in RI while living in Va.
(i've planned multiple weddings in RI and MA, but in my mind the states are interchangable since i live so close to RI, lol)
i do pretty much everything. i can plan an entire wedding, or i can plan small sections just to help you with whatever is giving you a hard time. i can help with design as well. i worked as a florist for 3 years, and i still do flowers and design for wedding- three this year! one in RI and two in MA.
so pretty much i'm your gal.
email me with any questions erinuncensored(AT)gmail(DOT)com
and you can stop by my blog- not for any wedding related stuff, even though i post thoughts here and there- but simply to get to know me a little bit. i mean, if you can't stand me, why the hell would you want my help planning your big day, right?
I've been doing websites/web design for 11 and half years now... just transitioning into wedding ones because I really like clean designs and weddings sites really fall into that well. I'm in the middle of my second wedding site, and have two more lined up.
I also make hand-bound books. And given the proper advanced notice (it could be as little as a month, depending on what you want), I can make a one of a kind journal, guest registry, photo album, or scrapbook... or any other sort of bound object. I've been meaning to start an etsy shop, but just would like a set studio space before I actually do that. (Saves me from storing my supplies in my room and then bringing them out to the living room to work on things.) ANYWAY.
So websites or book arts. I'd be glad to help! I'm in Chicago, but can do sites pretty much anywhere... and can ship books to you.
Here's my personal site, which has a little bit of my portfolio on it: http://www.erinichristine.com
And the flickr set of a small selection of my book arts stuff: http://www.flickr.com/photos/erini/sets/1089292/ -- I can send more photos of my books that I still have if you'd like.
(I also went to school with Nicole, and she was in my book arts class... I don't know if she's available for anything, but she is also a talented artist in MANY areas -- I know jewelery was one of them. just sayin')
TIA! i've been meaning to email you. i need something for my hair for the wedding! :) i have a general idea of what i want, but i have to be sure on the dress first i think. :)
