The Bloggers With The Most To Say

Is it personal? Or just somewhere to jot down ideas and notes. I keep a little notebook with me everywhere I go. I write down quotes I like, ideas for blog posts and books I hear about. I took some pictures of them and included them in my last post, The Notebooks.

YES

I have a moleskin in my purse
a beautiful Italian leather journal for deep questions
A journal for my letters to God, which acts like a journal I just begin my entry's with "Dear God"
A song journal
A journal of letters I've written to my boyfriend over the years.
A leather sketchbook for drawings when I don't feel like writing
A large sketchbook for poems and drawings...

I may or may not be forgetting one?

And I have plenty of finished journals that I haven't decided what to do with yet =)
i have a couple notebooks that i carry with me 24/7. one is a "diary" though it's just the facts of events of my life - where i go, what i do, that kind of thing. i have a really bad memory so i like to write things down. another notebook is meant for poetry but it is really just a place for me to vent or work things out on paper when i can't work them out in my head. sometimes it actually does turn into poetry... really crappy poetry. and i have another notebook for ideas to put on my blog - stories, observations, conversations, whatever. every time i write something down i feel better.
Yes. I have a personal journal, a notebook I record my erratic heart activity in and one where I jot down quotes or songs that are stuck in my head.

I did a post about keeping a journal. Check it out!

no, but I do keep a planner, and if I come up with an idea I'll jot it down in there :)
I've got a notebook/journal that I write in from time to time. I write down what I'm thinking, what I've done recently, and quotes that I like. But, I don't carry it around with me.
I really try to keep a journal, but I have to admit that it's only something I do once in a great while. I have a notebook where I write down all my to-dos and little ideas that pop in to my head, but no great depth there!
I have a composition book, like one from high-school, that I carry around. I like to have it on me in case I need to suddenly jot down an idea.

yup, I have a diary. I use it to write in when I am sad or angry because I hate burdening other people with my problems and complaints. Plus it doesn't have a reasonable opinion to tell you when you just want to be unreasonable. Oh and I guess my dog is my walking/living diary because I tell him everything too and it's so wonderful because he never judges you, just tries to make you smile.
Ever since I was little and up until a couple of years ago, I kept a diary. Then when a few things happened in my life that I didn't necessarily want to remember (or have anyone stumble across years after I'm dead), I stopped writing about every little detail in my life. Now I have a couple different journals that I'll carry around with me that are sometimes for what's going on with me, but they're mostly filled with random thoughts, quotes, notes of things I see or hear or want to write about eventually. Sometimes they end up getting too filled with To-Do lists. It's been awhile since I've filled a notebook front to back. I love notebooks so much that I usually buy a new one before I can finish the old one.

I actually wrote a blog over a year ago now about finding some of my old journals and reading through the hilarious things I wrote as a kid. The video that inspired the post is up there, too-- it's of young adult author John Green reading from his old journals. If you haven't heard of him, you should, because he's a VERY popular YA fiction author, and he's very funny, young, cool/nerdy, etc.
Yes I love to write. Blogging is great but actually writing something in a book is such a great feeling.

I have a journal and I will also journal when I travel as well as keeping my blog up to date. I journal about more personal things. I also hand write most of my writings and notes. I also have a diary and a note book that I carry around with me.

I love looking back in my journals and remembering things and having poetry etc in there. I treasure those. I started writing in a journal when I was 11 and have pretty much never stopped.
