Do you listen to music when you blog?

Often when I sit down to write out a post I go into itunes and put on some music. Often it gets me into a better mood for writing. Does anybody else do this? and what kinds of music do you find yourself listening to when you write?

of course!!! i am usually jammin to pandora...if not i am listening to a cd or a mix i made on grooveshark

I do, always. During my college days, I study, read, write with music on. Still do until now minus the studying part.

Depends. I try and write funny stuff and last night, I was writing to Tenacious D. I got angry and thought, MAN, I'm never gonna be as funny as them. Then I went off in a strop and made a sandwich.

When I write, I listen to something super mellow like First Aid Kit or Bright Eyes (lately it's been The Civil Wars). It has to be relaxing and slow, otherwise I wind up distracted.

i listen to music as much as i can. the only time i am not listening to music is when my fiance gets tired of it in the car and turns it off, when i am reading for my grad classes, and sometimes when i am coding (depending on how hard the code is, and how much i have to concentrate). Otherwise, i am jammin out! And not just to one type of music. I have deep appreciation for all genres, from various types of electronica, to rap/hip hop/r&b, to rock, country, metal, and classical! there are so many different types of music because there are so many different moods, types of days, and types of people. LOVE IT! right now, underworld, born slippy.

I don't listen to music while I blog because it distracts me from writing. I don't listen to music while I'm reading other people's blogs either, for the same aforementioned reason. I guess I'm one of those people that needs the surroundings to be quiet in order to concentrate on something. I never could study with even the slightest amount of noise around me.
